This chart shows the color scheme used with telephone wire.
Note: The chart contains an error. In the chart, Tip is labeled as "Ground" and Ring is labeled as "+48 VDC". This is not correct. Ring should be labeled as "-48 VDC". In other words, "Tip is at ground potential, and Ring is at 48 volts below ground potential". [ If I ever find the original file, I'll correct the chart... :-]
