Crafty Music Teacher's page. This is a series of web pages for music teachers that want to stretch their budgets by making homemade musical instruments. The site contains instructions on how to build instruments that really sound good, including a bass marimba made by teacher Bonny Lundin-Scheer according to instructions by Australian marimba maker Jon Madin.

Search engines: Google, Yahoo or Altavista. (Google seems to update their list more frequently).
Language Translator. This site lets you enter text and translate it from one language into another language such as English, French, Spanish, etc.
Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com). Good site for information about movies, actors, etc.
Dilbert (Four Week Archive).

Validate an HTML page. This is a slick HTML checker that you can use to validate any HTML page that's on the web. For example, you can validate this page by clicking here.
Microsoft TerraServer. You can view aerial photographs of most of the United States. Pretty cool. You can go to the home page and clock on down, or you can jump to this link to view by address.
UniForum Chicago. UniForum Chicago is the Chicago area affiliate of UniForum. UniForum Chicago has monthly educational meetings to provide a local forum in the Chicago area for open systems and UNIX discussion and to provide an opportunity to meet other professionals in the computing field.
X10.com. This is where I get some of my home automation supplies. I've been buying and installing X10 products for close to 20 years. Their big claim to fame are devices that let you turn lights and appliances on and off via the wiring in your home. They also have low cost CMOS cameras. You can sign up to receive a daily email flyer that advertises specials they are running.
